Stereo head unit upgrade

Thank you for the info.
From what I have found I think the faceplate is 3x8. But the measurement I'm worried about is from the bottom of the 7x2 opening to the bottom edge of the faceplate. If it's more than 3/4 of a inch it will not fit. Im guessing it's right at 3/4. Maybe I can find one local to try.

Odd I've never had a remote work backwards. Just some functions didn't work.

Just thought I would update.
I ended up going with a clarion 505 knowing it would fit. I also liked that they had a simple rf wireless remote. Installed and works great. Stage 2 will be wet sounds 6 channel amp and run new speaker wire.

Don't wait spend the $125 now and be happy. That unit doesn't have Bluetooth. Best upgrade you can do yet.

I do have one of those. They are fantastic AJ.

However, I prefer Bluetooth built in so we do not have to remember to charge it. That's happened more than a few times.

Plus, believe it or not, this head unit does not even have a 3.5 mm jack! No easy Mpow plug in --or way for the kids to quickly plug in iPhone/iPod music.

Nooe...built in Bluetooth it is.

Consider this fusion unit. Great app for your phone. This would be my upgrade for a Bluetooth upgrade without CD player. Would me a new hard wired remote too.

Has an aux input coming of the back so u could put a port on the wall.

They make options with cd/DVD capabilities. Imagine laying in your bunk at night watching a movie on 32inch tv with gas generator roaring outside if I don't have shore power
