Boat Vent Cap II

Hello all. I am considering installing the boat vent cap II onto my covers... We have our boat in a dry stack but we tend to go out on the water many days during the week. If we are going out two consecutive days, the boat sits at the courtesy dock and it is not covered. Like good little boat owners, we put the cover on in the evening when we return and the next day there is SOOOO much hot air trapped inside. I was thinking installing the vent cap could lower the temp under the covers as to keep the electronics and stuff as happy as possible.

Here's the rub... I will have to cut a larger hole in the tent poll part of the cover to install the cap. The reviews and info on the vent cap seem to be great BUT i really don't want to damage my covers if I find that there is something I don't like about the vent cap. Any experience or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I had them on my old boat which was wet slipped all summer and they work great. The Cobalt came with a brand new cover with built in vents so I don't have them on this one, but when the time comes to replace this cover the new one will have the vent caps again.
