Well that said alot. A chip. Most stereos have the dsp option in it already. Our home stereos have had that forever. It will be nice to see and hear It. If it's anything like YT's stereo you won't have a prob hearing it. I already was deaf but after last week I lost more hearing. It is nice they are building something just for marine though.

A lot of amplifiers have DPS correction built in, but some are oriented toward dealer-only tuning as part of a value-added installation process. The boat environment isn't as reflective as a car interior, but it's noisy enough the challenges are slightly different. My guess is within a couple years you'll see something like this specifically configured for marine from JL Audio and other manufacturers:
