Hi, I’m brand new to boating and just picked up my 2019 23 SC yesterday. Love it!!! Tonight I put my 2 covers on but struggled with figuring out the order for getting them both on. I did the bow cover first but then found I had to unsnap it to get my stern cover snapped over the windshield and then could hardly fit myself squeezing down between the two. There has to be a better way
Any advice as to the process is greatly welcomed!!
Thanks,
Rich

On our 26 SD we put the bow cover on first. Then take the cockpit cover and lay it over the windshield in such a way that the main body of the material lays down the center of the cockpit. Reach over the windshield and snap the cockpit cover. In the case where the boat is tied up to the wharf as in your pic, I'd snap the Stbd side first then get the Port side from the wharf. Once you get if on the boat and tightened the way you like it, put a mark on the cover prop rod, so you can adjust it to the correct height every time.
Thank you both for your help on this!!!! Now I know for sure I can complete the bow cover first. Also great idea on marking the poles . Anyone watching me and my wife would have thought we were in an Abbot and Costello movie
Really appreciate the help and compliment!

Great point WW. We mark our poles as well. Plus we hang a car scent air freshener from the adjustment knob. Oh, and Bounce fabric softener sheets placed in the cup holders is a quick and inexpensive way to have a nice smelling boat when you take that cover off.

Welcome. Bring sharpie in the boat with you next time. I do every thing the same also. When you get the bow cover on compelling then crawl under there put the pole in and adjust it up tight then mark your spot.
The cockpit cover will be a bit harder as it will be a trial by error approach. Just keep trying a higher position to is hard to get the rear snaps on. Then lower it a touch and mark your spot. I snap the rear pole in when I get the cover on to the rear seat.

Thanks glad to see you weathered the storm. I actually do. The wife voted it down. It's still on the table for the flip. I think I may wait to see if it's still there in the spring.

Ya, not to take this thread off topic, but we made it through safely. Many people won't have power until Friday( we only lost it for 25hrs). I called in a company to cut down some 100' poplar trees that may come down in the next storm. They are very close to the power wires, so a boom truck is needed. They were trying to figure out the best way to do it. I told them how i would attempt it, they liked the idea so much they offered me a job clearing hurricane damaged trees. I start tomorrow @ 0700
That storm was scary as anything. Was originally supposed to be a direct hit on us. We were evacuated. Ended up a non event for us. But feel so bad for all others who weren’t as fortunate. Glad you weathered it well. Good luck at the new job
