Welcome from Texas. You have a great looking boat that will serve you well for years. The learning experience you described is both nerve racking and exciting. I was taught to remember that neutral is your friend. As for maintenance I can’t help much. I trailer and am only on fresh water lakes.
Again, welcome!

Rich does it go into dry stack when it's not being used?

Unfortunately not. Sits in salt water 365 days a year. Had the boat bottom painted and expect to continue doing that every 12-18 months from what I’m told.

Why do you ask? I’m open to any thoughts and advice always.

Thx,
Rich

Oh just wondering for cleaning of it. You said you would use it for 2 days. Then I thought it would come out of the water for the rest of the week, then wash it on shore.

Welcome from Oklahoma and to the BBM club! Incidentally, for the record, my favorite color Cobalt is the one I currently own at the time, and right now that is black..

Order a bottle of Adam's H20 Sealer and Gloss and get a sponge mop for quick cleaning in the slip. Hose down a side then spray on the Adam's, then dry sponge it off. Adams works with the water to create a seal and shine. Works like a charm and keeps your boat looking pristine. You can also use a product called Hot Sauce, which is best for black or dark hulls and a dry application. I use it when the sides are dry. But I probably wouldn't wipe the sides down without rinsing the salt off first, so Adam's would work better because it reacts to water.

And as for my own routine, I wipe down the complete interior every morning before going out. Just get in the habit, and your whole routine wont take more than 15 or 20 minutes and gives you some good "bonding" time. I'd rinse the sea grass when you wash out or swab the floor. It dries quickly in the sun, just be sure to anchor it on the dock while its drying and you're doing the inside. And DONT spray your electronics! Yes, they are moisture resistant, but dont push the issue.

Ytmsn,

Wow, thank you for the very informative message!!! This is definitely the type of advice I’m looking for!!! I will definitely check out the Adams H2O Sealer and Gloss and will follow your other suggestions as well.

Really appreciate your taking the time out to help a newbie!

All the best,
Rich

Welcome from Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas.
You're at the right place for a newbie. Lots of help and info here.
I'm new myself, and have had several questions answered.
One was about the glass dash. Here's a resource that I was given on another thread:

Love the dark colors.
Good luck and happy boating.

Krob1114,

Thanks so much for reaching out and the kind words!

Could you repost the link for the garmin as it's coming up not found since part of the web address wasn't included in the link and I can't figure out what's missing.

Thank so much for sharing!
