Bad flooding here, went and recovered a drfting boat that floated off the lift today instead of working on my boat. It’s back with its owner, and technically I went boating.

We had a sudden front come in yesterday that soaked the valley as dusted Tahoe. Back in the mid 90s here this week .

Our biggest surprise when we moved to California in 1998 was that western slope of the Sierra’s averaged 400-500 inches of snow and Tahoe sees below freezing temperature about 170 days each year. More average snow than the ski resorts in Montana and Colorado. People always think of California as Sunny and dry but there is huge diversity in the climate especially in the mountains.

Caught the Brewers game last night, as a Cubs fan...mixed feelings on watching them tie for second in the NL Central. Great night for baseball anyway.
