removing engine cover pad on 1995 272

I need to recover the rear seats on my 1995 272, its not obvious to me how to take the pads off the engine cover.
Is there at trick to this or so obvious I just don't see it?

Is there a flame retardant foam padding on the underside of the engine cover? Normally there are nuts under this that hold down the top padding. Maybe a pic could be helpful.
