Can't wait to drive and get in it. Like nauti said they are larger than the 220. The dealer said they called it a 22 ft boat because of all the size limits of marinas. I guess a bunch of them don't allow 23ft boats. What they really don't know. I think it has the 232 hull.

Correct BB... the 222 was renamed to the 232 in maybe 2008, so yes same hull. Def 23'... Think the 222 model confuses people!

Not sure if your 222 has the gi or gxi. With 2 adults, 2 kids and a half tank of fuel my 212 will do in the 53 MPH range on the speedo, so likely around 50 GPS. In the right conditions and with less load and the right props my 5.7 might do 55 GPS. Might.

Your speeds surprise me some. My 220 5.7 gi full tank of gas two adults I've gotten 54.7 gps. I would have thought your 212 was faster than that.

Full fuel two people on board and a full beer cooler we see around 56 Speedo 51ish GPS. Could trim up and get a couple more mph but not a ton.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum but not new to boating. I've had several boats over the years, mostly inboards and a couple of ib/obs. My current boat is a 2006 Supra 21v and my wife and I are thinking about swapping to a Cobalt. We no longer do that much skiing or wake boarding we mostly just cruise around the lake so I want something that rides good and takes rough water good. So my question is what boat would y'all recommend? I am wanting something in the 24 foot range and something in the $30,000 range. I have kinda been seeing a few 240's and 246's close to my price range and I really want a big block!!
