Been on our lake bucket list for years but finally made it to dogwood canyon here at the lake. It’s a hiking trail along little Indian creek or crick as we say here that eventually feeds into the lake. Then lunch at big cedar!

The port of Stockton is a fun lunch trip on a Saturday.
Not only do you see the big Ships, and some that have been commissioned into Cement companies ( they cut the nose off to create a non working vessel).

Then you get glimpses of 100 year old boat building yards that have long been closed but still tell stories when you idle by.

The Old Duraflame log Companies office , and event center that was once a famous steamer just sits vacant now. ( That would be a great Resturant).

And as we come into the down town area you can see the Ball park and arena to the left and the old restored building and dock where lunch is on!
What a day ..! Even if it was only from 12-5

She's a tubing champ all of a sudden....2 months ago she didn't want to go over idle speed, now she's doing 20-25 and taking wakes like a champ!

How old? My neice was like that this year... Slow and straight and I have to ride with her. Out last time out she says to me "wonder what it's like to go over the wake"... I said we will find out next year! She found her brave!

Sigh, you're right. I will come clean, the only time I have actually driven a boat was when we test drove that R5. I got about 2 minutes behind the wheel and the sales guy asked if I could move aside so the 12 year old who's dad was interested in purchasing the boat could give it a try.

Sad times.
