Never thought about the durability aspect! I wonder how easily one could fold over one of those ribbons. I know with mine if I just nick something, it makes me sick to my stomach (and I only spend a few hundred on customization lol!

I personally could never see a alum prop like this stay true. I'm in oh crap moments way too much for that.

Huh..... I didn't catch that it was aluminum. I wouldn't even consider one just because of that

The really cheap one is aluminum and the not so highly priced one is stainless.Homeskillet wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2019 9:31 pm Huh..... I didn't catch that it was aluminum. I wouldn't even consider one just because of that

Yeah pretty disappointed in the pricing because it is very cool tech, but I can’t think of one non-commercial application for it at that price point.

Re: Anyone else as excited as me to get a set of these props?
They sell to the cruise and container ship market, those are more like 30-40’ in diameter, so I figure you can add a couple zeros to that $9000. Honestly, for those applications it’s probably an acceptable price since those ships are in service so long the fuel savings alone would probably get them the ROI.Big Block Power wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2020 9:39 amJust think how much a 10ft diameter one would costakorcovelos wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2020 12:27 am Yeah pretty disappointed in the pricing because it is very cool tech, but I can’t think of one non-commercial application for it at that price point.![]()
