REAR FLOOR ACCESS PANEL

I am trying to remove the rear floor "access panel". I have tried to pry a little , short of breaking the panel. Does it hinge? I don't see anything like a lock or fastener to secure it. There is an aluminum strip all the way around the panel I'm trying to remove, and there are phillips screws securing it the floor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have to replace your fuel tank or sender? Why do you need to get it off?
I guess remove all the screws you can get out. Then pop the lid off of it.

I’m just checking out my “ new” to me boat. Didn’t know what was under there and wanted to. Is that where the gas tank is? I knew someone would know.
