I just purchased my first Cobalt in the middle of winter. I hope it all works out, lol. I've always watched other Cobalt boats in envy when out on the water, so pretty excited to finally have one. This boat needs some cleaning and the gel coat brought back to glory. The boat was advertised as navy, but that was just the chalky black paint. I've been reading tons of posts before signing the title, and can't wait to get it in the water. Thanks for all the info.

Yes, that Cobalt gel coat is the best in the runabout biz. She’ll shine brighter than the coin pulled in by YTMSM’s Barrett Jackson auction after you buff her out.

It's the Volvo 5.7gxi. I'm in STL as well. TRL is our favorite lake and hope to get there more often with the boat. For the season we will keep it on the Mississippi in St. Charles and see if that gets us on the water more frequently.

Ah nice I use to boat the river as well before getting my place on TRL. You should try to make it down the last weekend in July for the Cobalt Regatta. There was over 100 Cobalts there last summer. Check out The Harbor Table Rock Lake's facebook page for pictures. If you ever see a Red Cobalt 262 with the fiberglass tower on the river that is my old boat.

We'll be there just before. Not sure if I can make it back right after. Looks like a good time. Would love to see all of the boats and what people have done to them. There should be a page here where Cobalt owners offer their lake homes up for rent! Who better to rent to?
