Ohio River about 16 miles above Louisville. Sunset and dinner cruise.

Nice picture! We did our test drive for the new boat on the river and was surprised at how nasty the water wasn't on that particular day... But if you stay 16 miles up I imagine it's way better there!

We put in at Jeffersonville. Ate dinner at Cunninghams in Harrods' Creek. The we rode up the river almost to 18 mile island. Gorgeous. To your comment, we didn't see enough debris to fill two five gallon buckets.

Our next river venture will likely be when the leaves change. Put in mid-morning, brunch at Cunninghams (buffet), and then the 40 mile ride up the river to Madison. It would have to be beautiful with the hills changing color. I figure we can catch a ride up to the winery when we get there.

Edited! I do have a pic. The day we picked the boat up. It was a brokerage boat and wasn't prepped. It's dirty in this pic and there hasn't been a serious clean up yet.

Southern, sorry to respond so late. We are traveling on the road & have not had internet service. We were camping at Lake Osprey at Elberta 2 years ago. Some lady told us to go see "animals" so we were just looking around. "Pirates Cove" was definitely a dive but a great cheeseburger & cold beer goes a long way.

It was fantastic! The water was like glass, and i dont think I've ever seen the stars any brighter.
