Well after 2.5 years of training it's all on Volvo now.

I wonder what the real story is (why they are departing).

State of the art facility in Tennessee. Lots of marine industry down there. That is where Volvo is now. Only makes sense. I hate to see them leave Wisconsin. I wanted to go and do a tour but never did.

I'm thinking that after acquisition of 7 Marine a few years ago, Volvo feels they no longer need the guys, otherwise they'd be moving with the facility? Doesn't really affect me (I'm an I/O guy), just curious.

More likely they had some golden handcuffs to stay for some period after the acquisition and that have now expired. They are free to go do something more interesting than work for a Big Co.

They had to stay on top fully train techs and builders. That is now done. That was there contract. The 2 sons are taking the millions and going to start another business and dad well he is still going to promote his engines and consult to them. 1 smart dude I tell you.

Exactly what I was thinking. They served their time while the 2 companies blended into one. Now they take their payday and go start their next project

What ever happened to the one they developed with duo props? All the seven marine engines i see in the wild are single props?

I think most of the offerings are coming with the duo-prop lowers.....
