Here restaurants are allowed to be open for delivery and take out, but we'll be packing lunches for the boat for now.

Same here but I have noticed a lot of the lake restaurants instead of dealing with curb side and togo they are just delaying opening for the season.

TG Let's hope that the restaurants do open and survive this C-19! We don't have a lot of options! Hope you are at the lake today. 80 degrees today! :D

My family has an Easter tradition. After church we pack dinner and enjoy our Easter meal on the water. This year all of the boat ramps are closed. Unless you keep your boat on the water you are out of luck. I am hoping that after the Easter weekend the ban on ramps will loosen. The thing that really ticks me off is the golf course just down the road is open. What’s up with that?

I just got a text from my marina: Shiloah Marina at Greers Ferry Lake. Restaurant is not open, but lake is open for marina customers. Boat launch is open. Self service gas is available. We usually don't try boating until early June, but after sitting in the house for 5 weeks unemployed, I'm stir crazy and ready to got out at first weekend that's nice. Plus, it's our first season without having to de-winterize.

Still not sure if the lake will be open under this quarantine.

I can tell you our local restaurant, Rum Runners, will not be open. It’s currently underwater. I’ve never seen Lake Erie so high.

Wow!! Had no idea that could happen. Hopefully no ripple effect in other town areas.

What is causing it? It seems not too long ago the Great Lakes were at record lows!

Really rain caused it. I think the year before was snow they got a bunch. Did it really rain that much last year?
What else can fill a lake?
I didn't look lately at Powell and meade. What fills those lakes? Now every time it gets real windy here they talk about flooding in Michigan and GreenBay. All the water gets pushed in one direction. Not the group either 💦😂

The only other thing I could think of was some sort of outlet control, but I didn't know if there were any in place on any of the Great Lakes. I know Lake Winnipeg - I believe the 3rd largest fresh water lake in North America (by area) - has a hydro control outlet and the lake can fluctuate by more than 1' in some years.
