Great info that is making me realize that the idea of lake hopping may not be practical with a 282. I will see if we can make the trailer I just bought work and then decide what rig to use to tow it. Worse case, I'll have a trailer that may someday be useful for the next owner. Best case, the trailer won't be compatible with my plan and I can sell it for a small profit to fund this summer's fuel bill.

I will let you all know how this all turns out.

So you have a actual picture of this trailer you are going to customize?

Only pic i have is the one i posted with a 34’ boat on it. Will pick it up next week and take to the pros for consultation.

Will let you know how this scheme develops and the impact to my wallet.

Oh ok. I thought you were just joking when you posted that. I think I moved my mobile home with a trailer just like that. Holy cows batman.
