Agreed
The guy also wanted the open bow strip which Chris didn’t have.
Talked to him as well.
And that's the easy piece to get made.
.
True.

Btw, did you see Chris’s new bimini?
YT needs to take notice.

Ordered new parts for the impeller and 160 thermostat. Sounds like I need to flush the cooling system now to "fish-out" as many pieces as possible. As far as the bacon sound, the steam and crackling noise was coming from the rear of the engine and down low where there was water in the bilge. I could never identify if something was burning or not. Im not sure how much damage is done. I am so grateful yall have been there to guide me some. Thanks again so much.

Just to let you know that power steering cooler is on the back of the starboard head and is kind of a pain to get at. I'm sure there will be rubber chunks in it. You will have to back flush it and watch for the pieces to come out of what ever hose you leave off. Also mage sure you match up the tstat. I've tried a few times to get the correct one for mine with no success. But I didn't go through the dealer. But I did match up the numbers and went through Volvos site and still wrong. Hence the reason the 140 one is still on mine and its going to stay that way.

The bulletin was fairly clear that for the Gi-J that all thermostats moving forward were to be 160. My number was just shy of the official switch.

On a brighter note, I am waiting for new parts to go next week and to flush the cooling system and install the new impeller which I now have 3 and tstat.

No way I can jigsaw the old impeller back together. Im gonna just have to be thorough and hope for the best. Lesson learned.

if it's your first time on that boat, You may be surprised on how many vanes you backflush out. Last time I had a new to me boat and an impeller problem, I backflushed about 10 vanes for a 6 vane impeller! (Kohler generator, they stick in the heat exchanger. The are a bear to bleed out though.) You do want to make a substantial effort though.

I flushed every nook and cranny. Tons of small pieces TNTC. The bulk was at the gold bolt that i removed at either side of engine. Oil cooler im thinking. Waiting on TSTAT to finish but put i back together without to check for leaks and frothy oil. Nope. This battle i won for sure.

Still need to lake test this weekend bit im hopeful. Thanks again!

Good job. That Brass plug looks like it's the drain fire the exhaust manifolds. You got the power steering cooler to. And the other coolers as well. Nice job!!
Show me you tstat housing and stat when you get it and find pictures. I need to see if it's the same as mine. Thanks
