They are only held in place with orings and the downward pressure from the fuel rail. Just keep wiring your way from frt to back.

Thank you, I haven’t done this before so I didn’t want to mess anything up.

Slow and easy. Blow out all the crud around the injectors so it doesn't fall into the intake.

Ok, so I “assume” there is a number on the injector that I could get GM one’s ?

Yes I'm sure there is. Matt can cross reference anything for you too.
Are all the connectors to the Injectors ok. Those are common gm connectors too.

Thanks, I didn’t know they were GM connectors. Some of them are corroded so not sure how they are. I suppose I will know soon enough.
I did have a question, when I removed the bolts holding the intake / plenum on the engine they were barely hand tight. Is that normal ?

Nope not Normal. Not sure what the torque spec is but it's not loose😂😂
Yes you can buy those connectors. Online or from gm. Matt are those Packard connectors?

Just reading.
Yes the connectors are common but assembling the make end with terminals is tricky . Hopefully they’ll clean up. But as resistance is the key for injector trigger I’m thinking it’s mostly corrosion induced.

That year year could have a high lbs injector for flow ( marine ).
But anything is possible if you find the Merc part #.
OEM first👍🏼

Rockauto might have what you need.
Connector.

Now the injectors you will need to see the number on it.
This is only a idea to help you. Just saying.

I can’t believe that injector was even firing...if it were my boat I’d just replace them and the fuel rail.

Thanks guys, I’m hoping they will cleanup and I can get the injectors working. I’m thinking only 4 are firing, I checked the plugs after putting new ones in along with wires and cap.
And I had 4 clean plugs and 4 plugs that were not.

It’s been a real pain, marinas aren’t aloud to be open yet..... Canadian Tire just reopened yesterday. We are so done with this covid.

On a side note I have an idea on how to use these for my dock lights with the stock “eye ball” after I get the engine going I want to tackle this. If I can modify the housing to fit the light in I think.

Quick update, I finally got the boat running! I was Abel to clean the injectors and fuel rail out. That was a learning experience, with covid no marinas are open, good luck getting parts. Getting the injectors and rail all put back with no leaking fuel took some effort. I’ll post some pics tomorrow
