vibration
I bought a 2018 R30 last fall late in the season. Noticed a vibration between 25-29 mph but went away above 30. Dealer had it forever and finally decided to put one new drive on the starboard side and new engine coupler. Seem to be better before putting in storage but just got it out for the first time this season and still noticed the vibration. Dealer stated thats normal for that boat? Does anyone have the same situation with their volvo drives?

Hey EyeDoc. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!
Do you notice any change in RPM’s with the suspected vibration? Any pitch change?
Would love to see some pics.
Again welcome aboard mate!

Re: vibration
Thanks! I don't notice any change in RPMs are you thinking cavitation? Have not been able to drive an identical boat to compare.

Re: vibration
Yes every boat is so diff. Myself I would try diff props on both drives. Or have them labbed and balanced. Really helped mine. Call Brett at bblades in the morning ask him his opinion.

Re: vibration
My brand new Hill Marine props were so far off it wasn't funny. Each blade was a diff thickness and a diff shape. Yes I think Volvo props are produced at a much higher quality then Hill but still wouldn't hurt. To check the balance of easy for any prop shop.AsLan7 wrote: Tue May 19, 2020 10:21 pm.eyedoc wrote: Tue May 19, 2020 7:16 pm Thanks! I don't notice any change in RPMs are you thinking cavitation?
