So today was supposed to be delivery day. I’m, guess not. In the final check of the boat before the trailered over to Georgian Bay, they found a crack in the fuel tank. As of tonight, they do not know what the fix will be. It could be that they repair the tank in situ. If not, they either have to pull the engine or remove the deck. Neither sound good. Cobalt was closed today for Memorial Day so hopefully we find out more tomorrow.

Now for the good news. Walker’s Point Marina in Gravenhurst delivered a brand new 2020 CS23 with under two hours on it for me to use until mine is ready. Awesome service. We went for a great first ride tonight and will be out tomorrow at some point, weather permitting.

BBP - my wife is in the know. The 300 sounds great, but I honestly cannot say it feels different from the 280. Happy to have it though.

My dealer called today and offered me the 2020 for the same price as what I negotiated for the 2019. It is slate grey instead of sandstone and does not come with the interior LED lighting option. Otherwise, all options and engine the same. I cannot quite figure out their logic here, but I get a current year boat in a colour I might have preferred anyway. My wife finally fessed up that she likes the grey more than the sandstone so that is a plus.

So it looks like my boat did get delivered on time, I just did not know it. The only reason I can think of for this is that they can send the 2019 back to Cobalt and likely get a 2020 or 2021 instead. They move their current 2020 boat (the one we have is the only one they had left) and maybe delay and get a 2021 instead - good option during a pandemic. I may never know, but seems like a win all around.

Took my wife and daughter out last night for a tour on the bay and it was great! Basically flat calm, warm and beautiful sunset. What could be better!?

Our SunStream lift gets installed later this week and we will be all set. And I need to work on my crew's docking skills. They left the front lines pretty messy on the dock. That will not be tolerated!

OK - finally had some decent light for a pic on the lift. Got out for a short spin too. Really looking forward to warmer weather, though. My thermometer read 57F at the dock! Not quite ready for swimming just yet.

Also attaching a few of the factory pics - very similar to my earlier posts but grey accents instead of brown.
