Coming from having 4 Rev10 Wetsounds on the tower, I did miss not having some towers to push more sound while people were floating in the water several feet behind the boat. I may look to add a set of tower speakers at some point. Otherwise, I thought the stereo sounded really good!

The boat was awesome. Just so much space for people as well as a ton of storage space, of which we had tons not used. Very very pleased with the new R7 thus far. Very excited to get back to her this weekend to get some more time behind the wheel!

Congrats on the R7 I hoped that worked.

R7, hand down. Unless an R35 is in the budget? 8-)
You won't ever regret going bigger, even if you have to go a couple years older to stay in budget. I have a 302 and wish I had a 336 right now

Update after 2 weekends with the new R7. We absolutely made a great decision with purchasing this boat. I loved my Centurion and as hard as it was to give up, I am really loving the R7. There are so many things to like about it. Now I just wait until the weekend so I can get back in it.

Thanks for the updated Captain’s report dof3g.

What are some of the positive aspects that your family really appreciates about the R7? This may help others on the forum.

The ride is very nice. Sits up out of the water, so it doesn’t spray too much in chop. I guess we didn’t realize how much storage is in the R7. I thought we had good storage in our old boat but we definitely underestimated the space available we have now. I can’t speak for the Volvo 380 but the 430 is a Great engine for this boat. The bow also is a great space to accommodate multiple people. We were not even looking for a windless but this has become one of my wife’s favorite things! Everyone that gets on the boat comments about the sea grass snap In carpet.

Only negative so far is the door to the bathroom opens up if you hit too much of a wake. Just needs an adjustment I think.

Doesn’t the door have a latch to lock it under way? Also good for locking wives in the head btw.

There is a latch but pretty sure it doesn’t lock. I will get it right or it will drive me nuts!

I thought they redesigned that latch a year or 2 ago.

So no locking mechanism on the door. It did stay closed better but most likely due to a couple of young kids sitting there from keeping it from opening.

Took a long trip on Saturday with 10 on board. Again, I was so happy after the trip. We had so much room to lounge. We did have 5 kids, but still. Great ride and enjoyed watching the fast boats pass us during a poker run.
