22002 Sea Ray. Bought her new and served me well. Sadly I'll be selling it in September. It is currently on Table Rock Lake in south-west Missouri. I'll post pics of he replacement in early Oct.

Re: New to Cobalt
Yeah, I've requested a certain bug in the forum software be fixed (along with a few other people), but there's a big push to move from the current version (3.3.0) to version 4 which is keeping a lot of people busy. If we turn image rotation back on, we lose the ability to automatically re-size images and end up with much slower page loads, so it's a sort of pick-your-poison for the time being.AsLan7 wrote: Sun Jul 05, 2020 10:25 pmFixed it for ya brutha’.dentech wrote: Sun Jul 05, 2020 10:19 pm Holy CRAP. Re: New to Cobalt
"relatively small boat?" We consider our R3 "almost a yacht".dentech wrote: Tue Jun 09, 2020 8:46 am Greetings fellow Cobalt owners. I am a Sea Ray owner of 20 years and will be making the move to an R30. I ordered a 2021 with twin 350's VP's to be delivered in September of this year. After much discussion with our dealership (the Harbor) at Table Rock lake, we decided to get the joystick option. Just curious as to the benefit vs the cost of this feature for such a relatively small boat. I look forward to hearing from some of you R30 owners. We have had a Sea Ray 270 sundeck with a Mercruiser 6.2 since 2000. I suspect I will be satisfying my need for speed with this upgrade. Dan.
Welcome and happy boating.

Re: New to Cobalt
Dan, I've got an R 30 and it has the joystick as well. I don't need it, and hesitated paying for it, but a good friend of mine with a Regal 3300 said a boat 30' + is almost impossible to sell used at the Lake of the Ozarks without a joystick, and that most boats this size will sell there much quicker than at Table Rock. Therefore, I bucked up and got it. He's probably right, you'll get it out at the sale and in the meantime have the benefit of using it.

Re: New to Cobalt
Thanks JP. Good advice for sure. My feeling is that the joystick, hardtop and twins are a MUST for resale value. Many of the other options will not affect value much when the time comes to move it. We expect delivery in about 8 weeks. I'll post a FULL review as well as pictures and first impressions in fall after I rack up a few hours on it. CHEERS
