2018 200s swim platform Marine Mat

Post by Willson3 »

Anyone have any experience tracking down Marine Mat (the sticky kind) for the rear swim platform and extended swim platform? When I go on Marine Mat's website they only list my model (200s) up to the year 2014. When I look at the template they have laid out on their website it looks exactly like what I need; however when I reached out to them they said they don't have a template for my model year (2018). They said I would have to make a template myself, which I really don't want to do. Does anyone know if dealers have templates that I could get my hands on?

I can only speak to Sea Dek, but making the template is super easy. I understand you don't want to do it, but I couldn't imagine buying that stuff without the template or dry fit template to check in advance. If the cuts are off ½" it would drive me crazy.

Making the templates for our two piece whim deck and walk through mats (4 pieces total) took 30 minutes, and my time to mail them in to get scanned.

That doesn't look too bad. Mine just has a few more pieces due to the folding swim step on the bottom swim deck. I am waiting to hear back from the Cobalt dealer on an option through them, but I know that is going to be expensive. I would match perfectly though and have Cobalt logo/branding routed into it. I honestly like the plank pattern though better than the solid (dealer only has solid option). I can get the plank pattern if I go through Jet Boat Pilot and get Sea Dek. Who did you get yours through? Do you have a photo after install?

Try Aqua marine deck. Try SCWake. There are plenty of options. Sometimes getting the cobalt trademarks can be difficult sometimes not.
I got Aqua Marine mat.
Sometimes they can go to your boat or bring them your boat and they can take 3d pictures and make you a template.

yep. Here's the after install photo of the sea dek. To each their own on the Cobalt logo, but I didn't want it. It says Cobalt in 20+ other locations all over the boat. I don't need another one on my swim deck.

To answer your other question, I went straight through Sea Dek themselves. Did not go through SCWake or any distributor.

Looks good. Is that color "terra" over black?

Just looked at my drawings from Sea Dek. It's top layer "Terra" and bottom layer "Chocolate". 3mm thick each layer.

Looks good. I never considered running the pattern horizontally, but I like it. Can I ask how much it cost to do the back swim platforms?

I did it two years ago. It was both swim platform pieces and the first step in the pass through. So 3 pieces total. $420 from Sea Dek.

I used Aqua Marine from Georgia. Approximately 400 dollars in 2018. Didn’t have a problem adding logo
