Cobalt 23SC Future Owner!

Hello All!

I've been reading all the helpful posts on the site. Great knowledge base! I've been looking at purchasing my first boat for a few months and went to a few dealers to see the different brands. Cobalt wasn't even on the list but once I saw one and compared it to others, to my eyes it was night and day. I actually got excited about the actual boat purchase beyond my excitement of boating in general. It had to be a Cobalt!
After much deliberation on the long list of options I finally placed the order for a 2021 Cobalt 23SC yesterday. I couldn't be happier. And now the long wait; I'm located in Miami Beach, FL so the season shouldn't affect boating later in the year. Thankfully the wife has gone along with for the ride and so I bought her a bottle of Cobalt wine to enjoy as we wait for the boat. As soon as I receive her I will make sure to post some pictures and a "newbie's" first impression. (in the meantime here's the snapshot from Cobalt's online configurator)

Congrats on the boat! Nice color and great power.

Growing up in Miami Haulover was my inlet. Having owned an 23SC for about a month now I feel that you'd have no troubles as long as it wasn't a crazy rough day. The main mistake people make there is going too slow and riding the waves up and down and letting the current move you around. Throttle up, trim it up and keep her nose in the air as long as the wife isn't hitting you too hard. And for the way back in that 300 has more than enough power to handle the current.

Hello again!

Took delivery of the boat yesterday... a dream come true. It took about 3 months from order to delivery. The delivery Captain spent a few hours with me on the water getting me up to speed on the Cobalt and getting her safely to her dry dock. Everything was in working order and had all the options I wanted. Halfway through the 3 month wait I realized I really wanted the flag, so I ordered it from Tig Tech and had it installed prior to delivery. Looks great and it’s made in the USA!
The fit and finish of the boat is excellent overall and the ride is quite luxurious. I couldn’t be happier I went with a Cobalt. Here’s a few pictures of her!
