We don’t use our bimini often but with the series of hot weather days this year it forced me to open it up.
Honestly it’s not an easy task but it’s a nice Bimini when open. Since I don’t set it up that often I decided to document it for others ;and me
) so I don’t have to remember the steps by trial an error for the few times we set it up. So here is the complete process of opening a bimini on a 260 series with stainless wakeboard arch. It’s easier with 2 persons but can be done by yourself with choice words flying. (I chose this option)
Here it goes.... Only 15 simple steps.

1. Stand at REAR of cockpit facing forward and unzip rear cover on rear secondary bimini from right to left.
2. Stand in FRONT of cockpit facing aft and unzip front cover on primary front bimini from right to left.
3. Pull out support poles from storage under port side seat and fasten to the port and starboard side quick clips in front of the windshield. Unscrew pole adjustment almost all the way out and lean rubber pole section on windshield (to keep from scratching).

4. Remove spring clips from front bimini support frame on tower. Place clips next to windshield frame supports.

5. Lift main bimini frame out of the storage brackets on the arch.
. .
6. Find the three center cutouts on top of primary bimini canvas and walk from rear of boat lifting bimini over arch and inserting anchor light, antenna, and ski eye into those cutouts as you move forward. (This is your workout for the day.
). .
7. Insert primary bimini frame poles into chrome holders on top of windshield frame. Insert spring clips you positioned there previously.

8. Connect secondary bimini to primary bimini using long zipper. Zip right to left.

9. Wrap primary bimini center flap around arch and zip.
. .
10. Snap secondary bimini side snaps to tower and fasten Velcro.
. .
11. Unclip primary bimini support poles from quick connects and insert opposite end into primary bimini front supports.
Fasten to bimini with spring clips.

12. Carefully insert primary bimini support poles into quick connects and turn poles to tighten.
. .
13. Fasten rear straps from secondary bimini to arch. Adjust if necessary.

14. Straighten & Tighten antenna and anchor light.
15. Store bimini covers.
Whew.
