Spent all day servicing, running all over town etc.
I went to Tyler Texas to avoid salt water boat and bought one that has been in salt water. The guy told me he use to have a condo in orange beach and they would take the boat occasionally. I have found things like the swim ladder being stiff in places as it slides. The helm seat adjustment is stuck. Little things like that; so far

So I changed the impeller, engine oil, topped off the power steering and hyd. trim reservoirs. Found a leaking hyd. hose that will be replaced next week. Changed fuel filter. Added 20 gallons of 91 octane and two bottles of sea foam. Thankfully the sputter went away.
I removed the outer prop no problem. Removed the inner nut with a tool I made. But the inner prop is stuck like chuck. A buddy gave me a guys name to see if he has a puller. I’m betting the lower unit has never been drained.
My wife spent most of the day cleaning compartments and the upholstery. So it’s looking pretty good.
After I scrubbed it, The wife and I wrassled the bimini up on the boat. That isn’t a cheap aluminum frame! Get it all zipped up and the forward straps like 1” from locking in. Something has shrunk but I will figure out something.
Summing it up so far. Yeah, it’s not the cream puff I thought but it’s still one hell of a boat and when I’m finished it will represent Cobalt very well. I have to say. Cobalt is much more than I even expected and mine is 17 years old !! The little things on this boat just blow me away. Like the plastic pads on the bimini mounts. Never seen that before.
