2006 220 Flag Pole Mount

Post by Rallbalt »

Does anyone know what flag pole works with this mount? I contacted Tig Tech and they told me it wasn’t one of theirs and their pole wouldn’t work with it. I believe this is the version that Cobalt used when they stopped using Tig Tech.

I’d like to find a pole that works with it rather than drilling new holes for the Tig Tech one. If I do need to go that route, does anyone know how well the Tig Tech mount lines up with my current mount (see pic).

Thanks!

This looks like your base.....

and the pole that fits it....

I don't know the exact dimensions, but it appears a TigTech would cover the existing holes. They require a 1 1/4" hole. Regardless of what you use, I'd for SURE through-bolt with a backing plate or as big as washers possible; glass looks a bit thin in that area.

Thanks for the replies!

Got the boat last month and it’s been great! Only 99 hours on a 2006! 350 Mag, bravo3 and super clean! Just missing the flag pole.

Thais why I asked Did you just get this boat (ski locker)? I would also look where the stern light is stored. I bet it still onboard unless it fell overboard. I would also look places where it might move with boat movement good luck

That was my second suggestion. I lost 2 flag poles to the water in 2 weeks so it happens.

Yep rough water and 50mph is not a good match for my set up's I was using.

I use a BIG AIR flag mount on the tower. The tower tube diameter is too small for the mount so the flag falls to like a 30 degree angle and sits there.... I never lose the flag though.. I guess I need to fix it.

Yep. I added a screw to mine so the tig tech one had something to clamp on too. Nope I either didn't twist and lock in place it came out. Next one I had in the stern light hole and it kept popping out we had to keep pushing it back in. Well it popped out after this run for some reason.

Boy that looks nice nice for the flag I gotta to that

BBP - off subject ---have same tower...Is that called a Cobalt tower? Whats name of the tower? And need to replace the black hand knobs that are shown in the picture (internal set screw worn from disassembly each year) ...have you ever replaced the black tower knobs? Where do I get them? BTW- I installed 3- SS folddown cleats per side where the snaps are to tie off my Yamaha waverunner and for extra tie-offs for polyform G-4/NH -3 fenders or the blanket.
