New 200s owner in Michigan

Post by Willson3 »

New Cobalt owner in Michigan. 2018 200s. Installed the Seadek on the swim platforms and upgraded the stereo since I purchased. So far it has been an awesome boat. Wish it had a little more power (it has a V6 Penta DP in it), but it does everything I need it to do so I cannot complain. And I get compliments pretty much everywhere I take it.

Thanks! I wasn't sure about the darker interior, but it doesn't get much warmer than white. It does look nice though.

Welcome. Glad you found us.
The darker colors with the strip are what first made me start noticing Cobalts.
I would have waited for one with maise strip and said, "Go Wolverines!"

That interior color is sharp. I really love it. Where do you boat? I dream of boating on torch lake and charlevoix. Welcome from Ohio

I live in Lansing and there are no good lakes mid-state. If I take a quick day trip I go to Clark Lake near Jackson. It is about 40 minutes from my house and is a nice spring-fed lake that I grew up going to. Every other weekend in the summer I try to take it out of town for a couple days. I have been on Torch once (nice lake). I go to the West Traverse Bay a lot because my parents live up there. I also love to boat on Lake Leelanau. Charlevoix is gorgeous as well, I just haven't been able to get there yet. Also, Indian river up in northern Michigan is fun. There are two large lakes up there (Mullet and Burt) with a river that runs between them. I think the stretch of river is 10-15 miles long and it is all no wake. There are restaurants and houses along the way, so it is like a cruise strip for boats. Really fun. You can actually take a different stretch of river all the way to Lake Huron (Cheboygan), so it is a very long stretch of river/lake up there.

Oh man, you are talking to a Spartan here. My girlfriend is a Wolverine though. She would have loved the blue/yellow combo, but there is NO WAY I would have bought it.

Thanks BBP! I actually took your recommendation on the Seadek. I believe you told me about SC Wake. They were excellent to deal with.
