xlint89 wrote: Sun Aug 23, 2020 9:22 pm One odd thing though, my tachometer is starting to act funny. It's reading higher than it should, but will settle back down normal. Idle has shown around 1200 RPM (definitely not idling that high) and will show about 4000 RPM when just cruising.
Glad to hear your finally getting to enjoy it!

Regarding the tach, I have the same intermittent issue. I've read that it could be corrosion on the ground terminal...cleaned mine up and retightened it and that seemed to help for a little bit, but it started happening again occasionally. Now when it does it I knock on the gauge face two or three times and it always goes back to normal.

It's Guage time. Send it in or buy a new set.

Well that stinks. I HATE Google. I just tried signing in and they want me to verify with my phone #, E mail, next of kin, mother's mother's maiden name, etc.... (the less they know, the better off we are)

Any other vid sights I can use?

I'll check the tachometer ground connections first and look into the gauges when I replace the wood grain panels over winter.

Update on LED lights. JUNK......

Tried the El Cheapo LED bulbs on Ebay for $8. All 4 of them didn't work. Spun them all 180* and tried again. Nope!!!! Plugged in the incandescent, and lit right up. Thought I'd give them a shot. Trying to get $$ back from seller now.

Also tried a set of the Cree led bulbs listed. $16 for 2. They didn't fit. It's an 1157 bulb style. Trying to get $ back from the seller on those too. Trying to get them to send me a prepaid return label. Why should I pay to ship them back when they list them as fitting 1004. It was only after I tried installing them that I found out they are a different style base on the bulbs.

1157 has the small protrusions on the metal base in a stagger pattern.

The 1004 (which is on my boat) has the protrusions even on the metal base.

Yea that's why bulbs have diff numbers because they are diff. Just get 1004 led bulbs. I have cheap 1 led bulbs and 3 years later still working.

That's the problem. They had them listed as 1004 compatible. That's why I'm looking for refund. If it was on me, I'd eat it.

Thank for posting that BBP.

Will be looking to install the lighting for the speakers as well as the correct LED bulbs.

Also got some prop testing to do.

Mirage + 23p = slow to plane, but good mid and top end. 62.5 MPH on Garmin E trex GPS

Just got a Bravo 1 22p 4 blade

Also have the Rev 4 21p 4 blade

Can also try a High Five 5 blade if curious. Got them in 21p 23p and 25p
