People vary, but I would say 8 or under. We tube, ski, and I think we will get a wake board. We spend the most time tied up in the bay having some drinks with friends. It will never have the grunt of a BBC but we had a 130 4cyl Merc before the 220 so anything will be better than that. On the water Im not after all out speed 40mph is fine and I would like to idle along without almost making a wake, which the 454 did at 650rpm.

We were looking at 07+ 252s but now looking towards a new CS23

Got ya. I would get a 350hp then just saying. That's a pricey toy your getting you don't want to be under powered. Your coming from a torgue monster

My 07 220 had the 5.7 gxi and was great on gas, power and with the capts call off was decently quite. Had her for 11 years with no complaints.
