Great looking boat. Welcome. Need more pics. What engine and options?
Where do you boat?
(We're a curious bunch).

Sorry ya'll...it's getting cold here in Colorado already. My initial float was done with my dealer at Chatfield State Park in Denver....kids were bound and determined to wakeboard behind the new ride that day (9/26). Windy and chilly...water temp was a cool 67 degrees but they did it. Pulled her over the passes to Grand Junction...got my hull letters done...but still working on a name. Headed to Highline State Park Sunday morning only to discover it closed for the boating season 10/1....regrouped and headed to Sweitzer Lake State Park in Delta. Had one other small boat on the lake pulling tubes but think the kids got cold or he got tired of my wake and left so we had the lake to ourselves. Water temp was 65 and too cold for my bones but the kids toughed it out and had a blast. Think we put about 4 hours on her. Popped the Easy Drain when we pulled up the ramp, gave her a bath when we got home and got the interior cleaned up and getting ready to put her to bed. Wife and I may try and sneak to Lake Powell in January for a quiet weekend on the houseboat and do some sight seeing that she's never seen but have to see what Mother Nature throws at us this winter and see what we get for good weather windows.

I ordered her the end of July, took delivery 9/26. Engine is the Volvo Penta 350 hp with the EVC. Dealer had her up to 50 mph on Chatfield on rough chop...Sweitzer was too small to even let her breathe hard but did hit 40 with little effort. F6 prop set on the Duo Prop.

Absolutely love the Zero Off Cruise Control option with the kids on the boards...first time boating in years that I actually enjoyed driving while the kids boarded. Spun the driver seat 1/4 turn and just enjoyed the new boat. Spent all of my time in the old Monterey on one knee and after a week at Lake Powell, it was black and blue usually and I was resorting to using the floating cushion on top of the seat for some extra padding...so this is much more comfortable with the bolster seat and Cobalt ride.

I'll upload more photos as I get some time on the lake but for now...that's all I have!

I love the classic colors. Cobalt is a superb boat, and you and your family will enjoy the R3. In the first pics, there was no prop, but it sounds like you work that part out. Kind’a sad seeing the season wrap up, and for you, before it even started.

Looks darn nice. What brand trailer? I like how the rear steps extend to useable length.

Yes that's odd. Wonder when they started to do that? Optional? What brand trailer?

Good observation. That extra usable length would come in handy. I have a phoenix trailer and the rear step is a lot shorter.

Great looking boat and cool you got to get a few hours on her before putting it to bed! Sounds like you and the family are going to enjoy it for many years to come.

Nice looking boat but its on the wrong side of the wall, I mean being under the lean-to instead of inside the shed for the winter. At least you got to put a few hours on her before you had to put her away for the winter!

Lol I’m renting that space as I can’t find a storage unit big enough to hold her....may have an option for inside the wall once her ex husband gets his stuff out of it but until then I’m just covered. I do have some sun screen material coming to put up that will at least keep the afternoon sun off of her....

Trailer is a Phoenix Trailer...they just started building them with the extra length....can actually step from there up to the swim deck pretty easy! Love that feature!
