Hey BHD Welcome to the CobaltChat forum. So glad you found us!

Sea Ray makes a great boat. That being said I think you will really enjoy the upgrade to a Cobalt. Your option list is terrific with the 380 horse being the sweet spot in terms of cost vs HP ratio. Maybe it's worth asking what you decided not to select in the option department. I personally would have added Captain's Call; wakeboard racks; wireless phone charger; and flag pole but that's just me....or you could always add those yourself after the fact and save a little cash if your looking for some projects. Others will chime in shortly.

Again welcome aboard mate!

I test drove an R6 with the 350hp on Saturday. Easily got to 52 GPS with four adults and one 90lb child. Missed the sound of the big-block in my Sea Ray.

Thank you and thanks for the suggestions. I actually did add the wireless charger and I am considering the rear facing camera. I am going back and forth on the wakeboard racks- I have a lakefront house/dock.

Is the Captain’s Call a dealer add-on?
Thanks again.

Or wait for the merc bb and Bravo 4. It's not to far behind. Then add captains call. Yes it's factory installed. Then it won't sound like a tuner car on the water with the Volvo 😂😂
I really think with the extra weight with the bb can only help the wave form!

Cobalt won't offer captains call on a surf model. Co2 levels of captains call and a surfer 10ft behind the stern do not mix.

We are almost certainly going with a classic navy and white theme to keep it classic. :)
Very nice! That’s why we like the white with black boot stripe, it’s timeless.

Ahhh. You’re right TG98. Forgot about the surf designation.
Maybe pump a recorded thru-hull exhaust sound through the sound system. :D

What are you all being told about the surf gate system on the R6's you are building? Getting any detailed information?

Right I forgot about that. Maybe they will hire some Ford engineer to pipe it through the tower speakers. Brppppppp. 😂😂🔊🔊

Your build is very similar to mine! Note, I saw trim tabs as a $1624 option on the order sheet. But again, dealer did not recommend.

I went back and looked at the build sheet and it was there. Sales rep never mentioned it at all. I messaged him and he said they were not ordering the stock R6’s with the trim tabs.

Guys are we talking a reg r6 or surf because this thread was a r6surf topic and this could be very confusing for people like me. Lol
