Fuel consumption on R5 with VP380

Appreciate the information on fuel consumption.......anyone have charts on performance for the R7 with 380 (2020)........RPM/GPH/KTS? trying to make the trip planning/execution a math exercise for the kids and see how close we can get. Thanks, Mike

We own a 2016 R5 with the VP380
Installed the VP EasyConnect and
Paired it with the Garmin & iPhone
Trimmed out at 27 mph we can get 7.9 to 8.4 gph
Love the ride!

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but this has been the most relative source of information I have found.

I have VP 380 non-EVC (2014 R5) with Garmin 741 chart plotter and while trying to get all gauges to read onscreen, I believe I need both the NMEA 2000 cables and VP engine gateway (YDEG-04) to complete the network. Right? Is this an install most people can accomplish or am I better served having the dealer perform the task? Does the VP Easy Connect app provide a better interface & more useful information on the Garmin interface than the Garmin itself? Thanks for your thoughts!

This is a neat tool, which from my Merc 496 HO and current VP 6.0L 430HP seems to be fairly accurate. Keep in mind this assumes consistent throttle/RPM and not a bunch of hole shots.
