Cobalt 282 swim platform

Post by chrisncch »

I want to put a swim platform on my 2005 282. Does anyone know where I can find a used one or know of a shop that can make one? Thanks, Chris

Good luck on a used one. There was a guy parting out a smaller cobalt a month ago. Not sure what he all sold. When I last contacted him he still had the platform. I'll see if I still can get a hold of him.
My buddy has a 2004 200 & swim platforms made him one and it looked very nice.

Really appreciate you looking into that for me. Can you also check to see where your friend got an after-market one made?

That looks stock. Really nice.

My boats too small - whenever I see an aftermarket platform on it i expect a dozen clowns to pop out and go swimming. That's how ridiculous it looks.

Buy the platform. Then buy a bigger boat to go with it :D that's practical!

me? Nah. It looks weird on my boat. Let the kids learn boating the old fashioned way I say! Let their toes hang off the platform as they try and maintain their balance while waves roll in!

Kids today are spoiled - Have they ever tried to pull themselves out of the water onto a rotting teak platform with no ladder? Pulled splinters from their chest? Kids today, i say.
