1978 19' Runabout

I had been looking for a boat for just having some fun on the river. I came across a 1978 Cobalt 19'. Its all original. It has a power step through window that is a but sluggish. Anybody have one of these beauties that could help me with that?

Very cool, always liked the power window on those. Like the look with the convertible top too. I don’t know specifics on the power window operation, but I’ve had good luck lubing the window tracks with garage door lube. It’s more viscous than typical lubricant and is weather proof so it lasts much longer than PB Blaster or the sort. Pics would help.

Beautiful!

Lockey and I both have 19CD’s. Most of them do have sluggish windows and I don’t think the motor can be replaced. We assist ours as much as possible.

Where are you located?

Yep, mine goes down pretty fast but coming up I usually have to assist it. I suspect its the motor, but I have not taken it apart yet to inspect it. Pretty sure the brushes can be cleaned and put back together. Its worth a shot to see if it helps.
