Opinions on Seadek/similar for swim “step”

Very nice. That looks dark. Hope it doesn't get too hot.

We went back and forth in which shade of grey. We went with the darker tint after we saw that the mat can fade. We keep the boat on a covered lift, so hopefully that will cut down on the exposure. Will be hitting the water today for a while, should be 80 and sunny, will see how it does as far as heat.

Also if we went light we figured would show a lot of dirt, but with dark will show sand, cleaning required either way...

Is amazing how far off the water your swim platform is and boot stripe. Mine are pretty much at the water line.
I guess the big tub sitting in the back helps her sag a bit.

General question for anyone. I’ve decided on Marine Mat as well, but haven’t determined snap or glue yet. What are the advantages and disadvantages of glue versus snap? Thank in advance

Snap pro: easier to clean because you can take out
Snap con: must be removed to haul boat on the trailer, harder to install. Cant confirm, but I’d assume it’d be more expensive?

I’d offer having just put in the snap in on your exact boat the stick on is significantly easier to install. Adding the snaps to the mat requires an extra tool, marine mat will let you buy one from them or they are readily available online. I spent a fair amount of time lining up the snaps and in a couple spots I was off by a hair. Lastly I am having to replace a few of the original snap bases on the deck as they won’t connect well with the new snaps.

All that being said I like the utility of being able to pull the mats out completely for cleaning purposes.

I can send you my marine mat template if you’d like, just PM me, will save you a ton of time if you like the layout I came up with.

Mine is a 2017. They had the template so no measuring on my end.
