Garmin 742 on 25SC

Hi all,

I just ordered a 25SC two weeks ago and literally just noticed the order info says it comes with a Garmin 742 glass cockpit. Did Garmin change to a new GPS for the 2021 model year with a single screen? When I ordered I thought I was getting a 2020 with the dual Garmin 7607, but the invoice says 2021 so I'm somewhat confused. The internet searches have come up empty and the salesmen at the dealer aren't really sure so I'm hoping Cobalt can give me some info on Monday.

They will but you might be getting the 12inch screen like a Ram trk

Thanks. It’s our first boat of any brand and we are anxiously counting down the days. Dealer expects mid July for delivery. Just waiting on the confirmed date from Cobalt.

Cobalt usually sells out of their current model year by April each year so no surprise your boat that will be delivered as a 21. Good thing for you is you are getting it at the 20 price. They raise prices year over year and make subtle changes. I would think as long as garmin is still producing the 7607 they would put that in.

My 2021 25 sc has the dual garmin setup. They are 742 plus model. Not sure what the difference is compared to 7607.
