Not So Tech Savvy

Post by TruckerTim »

So not much of a music guy, (or tech) but was messing with radio yesterday and I as I scrolled thru the sources I see the Bluetooth but it’s grayed out and can’t select it. Same with the USB. Are these upgrades that I have to make to get them? Would like to plug in the USB (also can’t seem to find that plug!) or connect via BT my iPhone and stream my Sirius app.

There may be a module you can add to the back end of the receiver? What model head unit do you have?

Here is the manual for the PMX5CAN head unit TT. You don't need any additional items for what you are trying to accomplish with this model. Looks like this....

I use a SiriusXM Module for my RF. Model: SXV300V1

Turn Sirius on in the spring, shut it off in the Fall,
I keep the module hanging w/ the amps just behind the glove box

Record your Radio ID (ESN) and account, not to mention Sirius website info
