Bravo 3 Ratios

Post by ph2ocraft »

Morning gentlemen
I have an 03 263 with a high altitude outdrive.
I'm trying to get the gearing or purchase a lower end with the correct ratio for zero feet.
Do I change gear ratio and impellers?
Anyway to find out what I have versus what I need by part numbers on my outdrive?
Thanks for any input.

Helpful site I've been using for years. Use your drive serial number to look up parts.

If you are going from a high altitude area to zero, there is no need to change drives or gears. You just need to change the props out to a higher pitch propmset. when going to a low altitude, run the boat with the props you have, see how it eiher hits or blow past the rev limiter. A place like Bblades, can can most likely dial in the the pitch you need based off the altitude change difference you made, but they usually want the current wide open throttle info where the boat will be ran at. Im a little late seeing this post..may of already resolved it by now..good luck eiher way..👍
