UPDATE: So I put a new plug in. The initial threading was difficult to get on. Once the plug started to turn, it went in relatively smoothly. Once it seated properly I snugged it in.rabiddawg wrote: Mon Jun 21, 2021 12:21 pm I’m betting when you installed that plug your tool was at an angle and cracked the plug. I’ve had it happen in the past. For me the end always fell off right then.
I’d put another plug in it if the threads are good.
Fired it up and it ran fine. Ran it for 20 minutes up to 45mph and it sounded ok (didn't run it full out) -- so I "think" I'm ok. I didn't feel any power loss or lag at 45mph -- little nervous about running it full tilt but I'll need to test that once I feel a little more comfortable. So fingers crossed -- I'll keep monitoring.
I may have cracked the ceramic when I put the other plug in. But I think that it wasn't seated properly and that caused the problem.
So all good for now!
