One thing to note is that they jump up to an 8" speaker in the cabins over the JL's 6.5's which pushes much more air as well has more of a bass response. SUPER clean with the volume at 1 or maxed out. I hear so many distorted sounding speakers on the lake and these are absolutely not that. You can play modern pop, jazz, country, classical, etc. on them and they all sound equally amazing. I can't put my finger on the wet sounds sound yet but it just feels like ice picks are in my ears for some reason.jhnmdahl wrote: Fri Aug 13, 2021 9:58 am Another Roswell speaker owner! How do you like them? I slightly preferred them over the JL Audio, and quite a bit over wet sounds, but not many on here have looked into all three.

I think where the Wet Sounds shine is in their tower applications for pushing audio outside the boat. Their horn tweeters (vs dome) have excellent efficiency (92db) and terrific maximum power handling (600 Watts) ability. This combined with a full frequency spectrum (20Hz to 20khz) make them an excellent choice for water sport or beach fans who want to push loud, clean power outside the boat. We actually posted a quick demo clip of this on YouTube here.
We use JL Audio 6.5's for inside boat listening via an 8 channel M800/8v2 and have been quite impressed with the sound quality and low distortion. We like the speaker grill look better than the Roswells and the speakers spec out better than the Roswells in efficiency (91 vs 90); frequency response (45hz-25kHz vs 60-20kHz) and power handling (100 continuous vs 80 and 200 peak vs 160) in the 6.5" speaker category. That being said I challenge anyone to try to hear that difference on specs alone. And quite honestly, IMHO the source is what can make the greatest difference in quality sound. JL also offers the 8 channel amp vs Roswell's 6 channel max.
Take it for what it's worth. Now if I can just get my camera to hold steady with all that bass thumping goin' on.
