Labor Day Weekend, 2018

At our lake it seems like the summer activities for the amateurs always shuts off after Labor Day Weekend since kids are back in school. For us lake bums, we dont shut off until the first frost hits sometime in October.

We always have a big neighborhood feed (feast) where everyone in the area brings something. It's pretty good too, because all the "grillmasters" try to outdo each other with ribs, brisket, chops and burgers. It's a great way for old friends to hang out and newcomers get introduced into the group. It's a freakin blast!

This year we're going to try a golf cart drive in by stringing up a sheet and using and using a projector plugged into a laptop. Golf carts, lawn chairs, and of course, lemonade!

I've got a bunch of friends coming down this weekend and the Harbor throws a big end of year BBQ for all the slip leasers. So should be an entertaining weekend.

I also plan on boating until the first frost in October! I was at the lake last weekend and the tourist were already gone. However I feel they will be out in full force this weekend.

Our stereo install finishes today. Plus our new to us tow vehicle will be delivered (hopefully) today or tomorrow. Then we will be heading up to the lake Wednesday for another 8 days of boating.

I haven't told Katie yet - but I think we are going to skip Labor Day at the lake this year. Just figured we would put the cover on the 222 and call it a season. Not sure what we will do this weekend maybe catch a movie or clean up the house, stain the deck I dunno so many things to do and so little time.

That sounds right. Gutters need cleaning and I'm sure the garage needs some work.

Headed up to the Thousand Islands for a Memorial Fishing tournament for a family friend. Lots of feeding and lemonades.

Ha! I have a hundred that says you may actually stay at the house and stain the deck, clean the garage, mow the yard, wax Katie's skis or do whatever else she might tell you to do while she's at the lake.
