Subwoofer location recommendations

Post by Crowncourier »

Any subwoofer location recommendations for my Cobalt 200? I installed a bazooka I had laying around in the large storage area under the stereo dash but I would have to cut holes to port it to really get the sound out. I was thinking that right under the drivers steering wheel might be good, But I’m not sure how much room I have behind it.

You should have plenty of room back there Crown. Can't you access that area from the front under the seat panel? Not sure how much room is there on a 200..

And when I first read you had installed a bazooka this is the image that came to my mind..

Jeesh I need to get out more.

I almost had my cheerios on the floor. Lol

I haven't seen/heard about a punt gun in a long time. I think they had up to a 2 inch bore and could wipe out like 50 birds with one shot.

Is that a 10” or 12” sub? That looks like a good place.

Sorry I'm going to side track this just because no body else did yet. Try some hull cleaner on that floor to clean it up if you didn't get it clean yet. I also used Mcquires degreaser on my last boat worked well or try bio Kleen Amazing cleaner on your seat too see if it will come clean.
Ok back to a sub add a 10 inch line Aj and a amp and be done. Do it right.

I’d be tempted to look at the passenger side footwell too, in the console.

Cool. Thanks. And btw, the boat cleaned up beautifully and looks like brand new inside and out!
