2 Beeps every 60 seconds...6.2 Merc

Hey Guys,

I was out today and got on plane and noticed a double beeping sound.

It became very consistent, like my entire boat ride.

After it happened so many times, I busted out a timer. Sure enough, every 60 seconds...2 beeps.

Then when I went above 4500RPM it became a hardcore BEEEEEEEP until I went all the way to idle...then back to 2 beeps.

The gear lube container is full.

I just picked the boat up from the shop today as they replaced a gasket on the exhaust.

Pretty frustrated.

Any ideas?

Just guessing. But there is a float at the bottom of that reservoir. It will stick down. Plus just a little low and it will sound the alarm. I think oil pressure will sound a alarm.

What’re the chances that what they were working on caused this issue? Because it didn’t do this the previous 2 runs this year.

It can be. Check every connector on the engine. By the exhaust and impeller and side of the engine. It could be a water temp or pressure sensor. Could be a sensor on the exhaust. Oil pressure sensor. Crawl in there and take a look.
