Replace temp and depth Gauge

I have nothing but trouble with my Depth Gauge on my 2005 220 DP. I am curious if anyone has changed the depth and temp gauges and kept the cockpit looking clean?

What is yours doing. Most of us have just had to refill our transducer container and they have worked fine after that.

In, my depth gauge doesn't work either. What is this transducer fluid you speak of? Next to the blinker fluid I assume?

No they submerged the Puck in a antifreeze liquid solution for better performance.
These transducer caps unscrew and the fluid is inside.

What they make that too. I have some I use in my hybrid

Our older boats have transducers epoxied to the hull. None of this fancy blinker fluid unfortunately.

No issues with my depth gauge after adding fluid. Check out this depth gauge thread.

The combined water/air temperature gauge receives it's reading from the sensor located on the transom next to the outdrive (water temp.) as well as under the dash (air).

May want to check that wiring and depth transducer fluid before replacing the gauges Ahaberkorn. Normally an easy fix.

Yes. The transducer needs to shoot thru something with no air (thus the liquid)....anti freeze works since you don't have to worry about the fluid in colder temps.

It's also what the manual requests to use.
