DIY fridge/cooler?

Does anyone know please if there is an electrical device available such that one can make one's own fridge or cooler on board. I mean just the cooling bit? I've probably not explained myself v well but I have an ideal space to turn into a fridge! Thanks.

There are absolutely systems available. We had one years ago in our cruising sailboat. Here's one example of a company that makes them. I know nothing about them, but it will get you started.

FYI--These things don't eat batteries, they DEVOUR them when running on 12v. Ours would wipe a group 27 deep cycle in about 5 hours. I'm sure the new generation technologies is much better as this was 15 years ago, but be sure to look into the power consumption
