2010 262 stereo

My 2 helm and 2 stern speakers only vibrate but my bow speakers work great. I tried new speakers but no change. Any guess if I need to replace the stereo or amp? Also, I was in a hurry and couldn’t find the amp. Any help?

Hello NC7. Welcome to the Cobalt chat forum. So glad you found us!

Sorry to hear about your speaker woes. The best way to check for blown speakers is with a multimeter measuring the ohms. If yours aren’t blown and you replaced the originals with other speakers that also just vibrate, you may have a ground loop somewhere in that cockpit setup which could be separate from the bow setup in order to control each section individually.

Usually the amp is located in a compartment in front of the helm or under the rear seats. Check your connections there. Any pics you provide may help.

Mine's located in the storage compartment in the bow in front of the co-pilot's seat.

Thanks for all of the help. It turned out to be the amplifier. Replaced and sounds great out of all 6 speakers

What kind of system do we have. Is this a factory installed system.
