Bravo 3 Prop Change

Post by dogwspts »

When removing the props on the Bravo 3 is it required to buy that 60 + dollar socket to remove second prop. I know this sounds cheep but has anyone found another way.

Yep or make one. I bought a cheaper socket and welded a pipe on it. Hard to picture but for like 20 bucks it was done. I only needed mine 1 time so far.
Did you ding them?
Or I'll sell you mine for $50.00

Yea that's a good idea to do every year. Because of you don't the time you want them to come off they won't!
If you're going to keep the boat I think it's a great tool to have around. I haven't had a merc in awhile even on flips. Just good to have. I bought a Volvo tool also right away.

You can get the props off without it, but to properly reinstall and torque it to spec you need it. Where are you located? I have one I’d loan you if you’re close.

or you can buy one of those tools from Amazon for $35.99. Some prop shops sell
them for less.. think I gave $30 for mine at the boatcity-okc.
