'16 220s Trailer recommendations
Been a Cobalt owner for over 20 years and for the 1st time I'll be trailering this Summer. I'm looking for advice on make, type etc trailer I should purchase for my 2016 220S. I boat along the NJ coastline & inland waters. I'm assuming (hopefully correct) that I'll need a dble axle galvanized or aluminum trailer but need direction on which manufacturer is reliable and what "options" I should go for.....any help is much appreciated.

What does your local dealer sell? He prob has one in stk.
I would go alum. Venture is a popular cheaper trailer.

Welcome from California.
Salty = aluminum . This would be my suggestion although mostly universal as BBP stated your local dealer is the first stop..( they’ll have the knowledge of what’s been working).
So get us some pics of this candied Red 220 with the new 8.2HO!

Hey jack220s. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!
A double axle trailer will work nicely for your boat size. Galvanized is the way to go with salt water IMHO. Like the others stated, work with your local dealer or find the closest trailer dealer. Eagle makes a nice trailer as well.
Looking forward to some pics of your various Cobalt boats over the last 20 years.
Again welcome aboard mate!

Welcome from Oklahoma Hi-Jack220! See what I did there? BB is right. Without pics this thread becomes something different..
Aluminum in salt for sure. Its interesting to hear you have owned a Cobalt for all those years. Tell us about some of your experiences! And you should probably show us you 220 or some of the less scrupulous members here will start posting pics of what they think might be your boat. And you dont want to be misrepresented!

Re: '16 220s Trailer recommendations
Welcome Jack. A Heritage trailer came with my 2017 220s and I’m very pleased with it. If you’re shopping for a new trailer, one option that mine had that I really like is sealed hubs that require no greasing or repacking. I’ve never boated in salt water but I would think they would work great. The brand is Vault so you could goggle it. If you can’t find any info on them, post here and I’ll get what info I have in the boat & post it here.
Good luck
