Just bought a 1991 Cobalt in great shape from a loving owner that kept it stored inside...any thoughts/suggestions?

It's a classic 21BR...it's been lovingly cared for, the only thing missing is a working radio (older couple were prior owners) and the bimini is aftermarket.

Any mods or cool classic part suggestions would be highly appreciated. It's a Merc 350 (I believe) with less than 350 hours on the engine and I paid just a little under 6k. The seats are pristine, the exterior is amazingly well-kept and it even has a good trailer.

I guess what I'm asking is this: I just joined the club. Now what?

First of all before you use it change the impeller and the fuel filter and the oil and the drive lube and grease everything up.
Then buy a stereo a sub a tower and some speakers and 6 amps and get it cranking
Then let's get some led stainless cup holders and convert all lights to led. Take out an the carpet and add seadek. Add a swim platform.
But darn it post some darn pictures!!!!

Maybe first start with some pics as to show the members your locingly kept 21.
Have you had a chance to take it out for a run yet? , and what are your going forward plans?

There’s a lot of younger people here that specialize in Hi-Fi radio stuff that can guide you to find a nice cassette or CD player. Just start a new thread with pics .

Factory Bimini may be tricky, but if you check the newspaper one may pop up or check the internet for sales.

That may be the longest title I’ve seen here for a thread on the forum.

Start easy with stainless cup holders. Then work your way up to hi-fi like bbp mentioned. (Two amps will suffice )

Change fluids, filters and impeller.
Verify you have all items to legally operate in your body of water (life jackets, throwable pfd within reach, flares??, etc.)
Pics will definitely help get you started as members chime in. Don’t forget interior and engine pics.

Swap out all the fuses, test the trim, swap the cup holders, check the trailer bearings, get new tires (trailer tires time out, they don't wear out..), etc..

I just bought a 1993 22Traditionsl from original owner who also took amazing care ( 230 hours )
I was on the lake 45 min and the fuel pump broke.

So be prepared !! These old engines get crusty over time. Unfortunately

How long has it been since it has been used? Original bellows?
